Banner requirements

1. Technical requirements

Supported ad formats are HTML, GIF, JPG or PNG.


1.1. File requirements

An ad banner must be a ZIP archive with all the files banner requires placed inside of it.

  • All the banner files must be placed in the same folder.
  • Maximum size of a ZIP archive is 150Kb.
  • The name of the basic HTML file must be index.html.
  • A target webpage must be opened in a new window.
  • Maximum length of a banner animation is 30 seconds. Animation might be cycled but must be stopped after 30 seconds.
  • All the banner files (components) must be uploaded to the AdRiver system, not third-party server.
  • Banner file names can contain only English letters, numbers or underscore character. Any other characters are prohibited.

If you use SWF files, they will be converted to HTML.


1.2. Banner code

The following method is suitable for banners written in HTML.

Open the file index.html with a text editor. Add the following code before the closing tag </body>:

<script type="text/javascript" src="//"></script>

2. Content requirements and regulations

Please make sure that the ad content you provide does not include objects or activities forbidden for advertising by Russian Federal Law "On advertising".
